The procedures for installing false ceiling are given below.

Here you follow these instructions if you would want to do your false ceiling installation.

Begin at the wall’s position. Use a marking pencil or masking tape to place markings on either end of each division, and then find the shortest distance between the two points.

Use a stepladder to get to the marked point. Lay down a chalk line below the suspended ceiling grid as a plumb bob to transfer the mark from the floor to the grid’s underside. Mark the grid with the crayon or tape for a visible reference. Go back to the beginning of the wall and do the procedure once again, but this time; mark the opposite end of the wall.

Measure out the length of the chalk line and fasten the other end to the grid at one of the wall markings. To hold the end of the line, ask an assistant to do so. Pull the opposing mark on the grid towards the other end of the line. Trap a piece of chalk at the bottom of the grid.

Installing the 24-gauge metal grid ceiling track is recommended to help maintain the integrity of the grid. When cutting tracks under 10 feet long, use sheet metal cutters. To keep the track from running into the wall, utilize full-length wall components and, if required, trim a filler component to length.

The ceiling track should be placed with the channel pointing down on the grid. Place one edge of the way so that it is parallel to the chalk line. Drive 3/4-inch self-tapping screws into the intersections of the primary T or cross T with T intersections. You can use a power or cordless drill and screw-tip attachment to drive the screws upward through the track channel. To connect adjacent T segments, use two screws spaced equidistantly.

Fit the wall studs’ top ends into the ceiling track channel. When securing metal studs in the pipeline, use two, 3/4-inch self-tapping screws through each side of the track. Wood studs may be connected to the channel using one 1/4-inch self-tapping screws.
